The Tereschak/Tershak Family

This website is dedicated to the memory of my Beloved and Cherished Mother, Helen Ruth Tereschak/Tershak Harper. It was my mom's love of her family that had such an influence on me and for that reason I became interested in the search for our Ancestors.

She had little knowledge of her Ancestors. This could have been because her mother had died when she was so very young. It also could have been of the distrust that the older folks could have learned from living in the "old country." They couldn't trust some of their friends or family because of the Governments.

My Grandparents George & Dorothy Tereschak/Tershak came to America in 1906. I have read that the little town of Lodina where my Grandmother had been born burnt down in 1906.

The time and work put into this information was done with love, and the hope that all future generations of the Tershak/Tereschaks would know who their Ancestors were. That they existed and were remembered and loved.

I hope you study this website and maybe see a little of who we are, and who we came from. The hardships they had endured for us, for in the future, we, their descendents, could have a better and more fruitful life in America.  And in doing so, they gave us the choice to follow our dreams.

Again, in Remembrance to those we have loved and lost and will meet again.
